That's a good question Mikey. I should do as I replaced the one in mine with an ally one. The question is, where's it gone. Ill have a look this afternoon
Was the ally one a good upgrade ? Worth it ?

"I thought I'd just put the brakes together and drive it"...

Easiest and cheapest conversion is Lockheed. Mikey still with the original handbrake fitted, makes a massive difference. Hi Mark, I have original lever, original cables (albeit new) but rover 800 rear calipers to which the cables affix and .. its still cr*p I'm tempted to go hydraulic handbrake :?:

ATTEMPTED SCAM on my SST TODAY

Hiya, I was sent a link to an paypal account login. It was incredibly accurate, it was only because I'm a frequent user I recognised the colours were very slightly different.

And of course the url was incorrect

The wiggly line indicates where I bounced and came to rest. Some compies say the blows sustained during my unauthorised flight accounts for my driving style.😁😎
That would imply there was something in there previously ?

Hi Pepe, my 5a has always had a poor handbrake. Even with new bits , ( cables, slaves, shims etc etc just rubbish) I've now got a rear disk conversion and its still poor so can only assume its also the handbrake lever mechanism etc etc.

Not gonna run a handbrake, gonna nick the idea from GoFaster and his SS1, and run a rear line lock
Is that the solenoid type lock you can get on eBay ?

Once the rads in and mounted, the new intercooler can mounted. Need to mount the new brake bias box, and make the opposite side wishbones before looking at rear trailing arms :)
Sounds impressive, like you know what your doing 8)

Anyways, what are you making, a snowplough ? :D Actually inspired by GTE aerodynamics Mike, although to be fair ive laid the 'Barn door' horizontlly just above the ground as opposed to vertically.... Ahh I thought it was a built in catch tray for when the bits fall off as your driving along...
