ok. Apols not metal glued in place. They were screwed in, and applied a tiny bit of metal glue to the thread to keep there where the are. In reality there is pressure from the tubes, fuel rail etc holding everything still it was just belt and braces

Anyways I'm suffering from nervous-itus. The ecu is ready to be powered up but I can't help but think i've no doubt wired it completely wrong and if I attach power, it will melt into an expensive blob. so best do anything but.... So I've been meddling with each end of the engine. At the front, Drive...

Scimitar GTE Hire

The only comment is they vary significantly based on condition eg (seals, steering , suspension, brakes) and spec
(manual or overdrive etc )

But still very rewarding to work on and drive.

Joe's 1972 GTE - Is it not Finished Yet?

I've welded mine up. They were completely sh*te at sealing. And if I can go over the curbs rumble strips bricks without problems I'm sure normal road use is fine

Blimey, reads like an rate of attrition. The perseverance of the crews is great.

The landcrab is a regular.

The jag xjs was surprisingly nimble round the technical stuff.

The Datsun is a personal favourite from teenager days.

I met a couple of fellow compies (local sprint) scene so it was actually quite nice to have the banter

So should have taken a few more action shots but the cars were coming in thick and fast. The guys who deserve some recognition are the few crews who are doing it in the very old topless ones, bit like this. WP_20181208_14_59_14_Pro.jpg today , the first day of the event, was horrible, horrible weath...
