Looking very nice.
I did see your car at Curborough, but didn't get a chance to chat with you

GTC champagne boot lid

Sorry, I was out last night. If you can get it to Sandhurst I can collect it from there, or even from Philip in Bracknell (per his offer above). I do visit a supplier occasionally near where Mike (scimmy-man) lives, but I'm not sure when I might get there next. If not fairly soon, i'll contact Mike ...

GTC champagne boot lid

I'm sure Kev O isn't too far away, and he is usually at least once a week at my office in Bracknell. I'd just need to find a reason to get further north... to get somewhere nearer to Mike (scimmy_man)

Surely some Scimaritans can help out here? I'd hate to see it scrapped...

Calling All GTC Owners

Alex, I'm now the GTC Registrar. I've been following your recent comments on the Avon GTC's with obvious interest. However, the details of the 'converted' cars are not on the GTC register, so I can't give you any additional details. I assume the SE6/a/b register has the details of these cars, though...

Registering a scim in spain

I've had a contact from a member a couple of months back, who mentioned he now lives mostly in Spain and keeps his GTC there. His message informed that he intended to get it registered. Unfortunately, he hasn't replied to my contact since telling me this. I did wonder if it was you 'Oilrag', but it'...

GTC hardtop glass rubber

The rear window had popped out of my hardtop when I purchased it, but thankfully it wasn't difficult to fit it back in. I thought I'd need a new seal, but haven't given it any thought since. I would suggest Woolies for a sample seal profile, or maybe worth checking if any of the Reliant economy vehi...

For Guybetts: ref fitting 14W brush plate to 16W motor:- Having looked at it, it looks as if the spacers under the brush plate to raise the brushes up to be in line with the commutator need to be around 4 to 5 mm? I thought that the original screws might be a bit too short so tried to find out what...

Best SE5a I have ever seen!

Spotted it a couple of years ago at the White Hart, Hartney Witney. Nice car and good finish, but the owner wasn't that enthusiastic about the marque.

For Sale - 1983 GTC Auto with LPG Conversion (Previously Owed by Bill Sims)

Lots of GTCs with GTC numbers AIUI it's not the "GTC" that's so much significant as the number 381. Are there others bearing the build number of the car on the plate? This is the only one I can recall having heard about. Dave Peek's GTC is another that immediately comes to mind :) And I might find ...

Dennis, I rebuilt my 16W with parts from AES. It involved a bit of modification, mostly as the integral plug with the brush plate fixes differently than the original - but a cable tie and a bit of silicon sealant fixed that - see pics. Cologne camshaft gear change

Is there a quick way to see what wheel I've got? Like looking through the fuel pump 'ole on the Essex? Unfortunately no. It's behind the timing cover which in turn, houses the water pump. I recently acquired a "spare" block with no sump fitted - and that is probably the only way you can see the tim...

And if I'd searched before, I could have included the link to the sale post within this forum :?
