Main Beam Issue....

Relay ? Clean the contacts which might fix it. If the wiring is the same as 6 series (I haven't checked) then the flash switch bypasses the relay, feeding current direct to the lights. It's only supposed to be momentary! I discovered this at night, as main beam wouldn't work, but holding the flash o...

Philip's thread of 660XYB stuff

The 329M
I don't miss it

I can't help with your fault, but I wonder if it might have something to do with the fluid change, as that was the last thing you did?

Hope your well Philip

1974 Dealers list

I purchased my 1300 SS1 from Rickmansworth Sports Cars in 1988.

They closed in 1990ish, and some of the staff set up Ricky Sports Cars in South Oxhey, though doing a quick Google search, it looks like they are still around and back as Rickmansworth Sports Cars.

coupe straight six front/rear axle parts

From Geert's description I think it will be an early 7HA, which suits me fine. :) And it looks like the half-shaft tubes have been welded to the diff housing. Do others agree? A second opinion is always appreciated. For my tuppence worth, I agree with you. The welding looks sound, but this is where...

coupe straight six front/rear axle parts

Just measured both my axles - inside backplate to backplate:
Old axle: 45 3/4" / 116cm
Axle on car: 48"(4ft) / 122cm (most likely a V6 axle)

Ummm :w

My brand new pump spindle is quite tight too. Probably better to describe it as tight with definite tighter spots as you hand rotate. You can feel it's not right. My brand new one is much better. Incidentally, i also have a cast steel (rather than alloy) water pump from a spares engine I acquired. ...

A bit more progress. The timing cover off and finally confirm my suspicion that the engine still had the original timing gear. Replacement Alloy gear will be going on. DSC_0290.JPG And now to the long awaited water pump. Looks quite clean, though curious as to the crusty bit on the top side of the t...

coupe straight six front/rear axle parts

The next 237, also designated SE4 had the straight six engine but with the improved rear suspension; Perhaps not quite! The last 50 Straight Six cars may have had V6 suspension layout. Not completely proven, but mine at 257 does, and I looked at a chassis in the 260's the same as mine, and the late...

History KJX935G SE5 ?

I bought the car in 2012, and it had been sat in a garage, not used for a few years previous, so i guess that's the end of the line, must be on the register now because of the enquires i made when i 1st bought her, but never had any confirmation that the info i submitted was new/old or otherwise......

Not added anything here for a while, but thought it might be worth adding something on the trials and tribulations relating to the removal of the bottom pulley on a Cologne with auto box. Since the water pump needs replacing, and since I don't really know the condition of the engine, and also being ...

I found a couple of photos from the 2000 Harewood event. They are photos of photos but you maybe able to make out some of Reg numbers... 9 car photo: left to right, Black GTC = JJW 736W, red GTC = JKK xxx (could be Jerry Ree’s GTC JKK 880V) Very recent contact update on the black GTC (March '20) Ve...

7HA Salisbury Lsd info wanted

I was the original poster on the tvr Facebook forum  Always the problem when people hide behind pseudonyms and don't sign off with at least a Christian name  As others have said, the compies, and in particular Sabre owners are likely to be the most interested (assuming they have not alre...
