SE5A wiring

Thanks for the info, I assumed it was the stabilizer as the dark green is to the fuse box and the other went to the loom into the car, it was the red wire that threw me as it seems to be in the loom in the engine bay. Always hard to sort these things out when extra bits have been added to the wiring...

SE5A wiring

What's throwing me is the red wire, it goes into the loom then heads towards the front of the car, but there are no red wires on the wiring di...

SE5A Transmission fluid leak.

I have noticed that some fluid is leaking form the auto box on my 1974 5a. I've wiped everything down and i think its coming from the rear oil seal, can this be changed in situ or do I have to take the engine and box out.
Thanks

Wire size/rating

I am going to rewire a new fuse box in my 74 5a and tidy up some of the wiring as there are a few joins and cuts in the cables and am trying to find out what size and rating i should use. Some work has been done previously as there are a couple of relays that seem to have been added, possibly for th...

A bit of help with the coolant hoses needed please. I will be renewing the hoses on my 5a and it was originally an auto choke but has had a manual conversion. Do I now run a pipe from the thermostat to the top of the water pump and block the auto choke hose by the heater joint or leave them as per p...

Thanks for that Roger have just read the thread, very interesting. Having gone through the car I realized that someone had spent time and money on it at some stage and was glad to find the timing gear had already been done! Rebuilt the carb over the weekend as it is not running properly but think th...

5a Brake reservoir cap with float switch

Has anyone got a brake reservoir cap for a 1974 5a as mine is cracked, it's the one that has the fluid level switch in it, or where I can get one from.
Cheers
