Offset camshaft gear Woodruff key

Hello, I bought a second hand steel camshaft gear and just got round to fitting it, it came with a Woodruff key attached but it was slightly offset (I assume for a timing alteration), I have fitted it with the original Woodruff key from the car but just wanted to check with people, if it was normal ...

Binnacle fitment

Sorry I didn't see your post Roger. Yes I do mean the tacho/Speedo gauge surround. I know exactly the box section you are on about, It didn't seem to line up the other day but I did have to remove it at one point, maybe I reinstalled it incorrectly or just needs slight adjustment, thank you for your...

Binnacle fitment

Thanks for the quick reply. That makes sense, I may see if I can find some rubber or trim to just neaten it up then. Yeah I was thinking of fitting leds, I have seen the conversation come up in the forum before and will have a browse through that first. What did you do with your alternator/ignition ...

Binnacle fitment

Hello, I have fitted the instrument binnacle for the first time since owning the car, it's an se6. I have a couple of questions about fitment. First is that there is a gap between the topper pad and the top of the binnacle of about half an inch, the screws and tight and there is no movement, so shou...

Steering column switches

That is a pain then, hopefully someone else might be able to shed light on it.

Has any work been done steering wise like at the other end of the column?

Steering column switches

Sounds like it should fit again if it came off hopefully. To my memory there is a white ish spacer to cancel the indicators but that is built in and you have to remove the stalk off the metal mounting plate to remove it.

Steering column switches

I have recently had this issue after buying a new indicator/light switch stalk which has a slightly smaller collar on the back edge. Has it been changed at all to your knowledge? Might be worth measuring the back of it and comparing it to the steering column where it should sit with a vernia if you ...

Warning light terminals

Just in case anyone else is after these in the future I tried many different round terminals including Rists and had no luck of getting anything to fit and lock. I spoke to a few people selling the terminal & connector kits and none said they would sell the terminals separately. I bit the bullet and...

Warning light terminals

My understanding of a Lucar is just a female spade terminal like this

These terminals seem very different to that, am I missing something? These terminals are to take a round pin.

Thank you for your help AJL

Warning light terminals

Hello, I am close to finishing rewiring my se6, I am just wiring up the dash area now. I am after the terminals for the warning lights i.e indicator tell tale etc. I think I have found the terminals but it comes with the socket/connector and is more expensive than I ideally want to pay : https://www...

Thank you that is all very helpful information. Yes it is a SE6 so it seems unlikely I will find an interior in black then. Thanks again
